Cabopino Beach..

Today someone said he thought he had seen me on beach, back home, I guess my spirit or soul sometimes goes a wandering...

Had my flu shot this morning, arm aches already! Usually the next day but this was quicker.. then few hours later blood test taken, different arm!! If that even makes a difference eh!

So tired again today, I was out for an hour and a half this morning, also defrosted and cleaned the fridge freezer, and cleaned the bathroom floor, whoever put black mirror type tiles down on a bathroom floor never intended to have to clean them! Nightmare!

Been having bad dreams as well, adding insult to injury with my bad sleeping..

Had one of those weird moments this morning, listening to Harry Potter on my ear buds, just coming home from flu shot and Asda, and the narrator is saying 'October 16th.....' and I stop in my tracks!! Today is October 16th!! Weird eh? Coincidence.. yes!

Been trying to decide whether to get a car or not! I miss driving, I want a car, but do I need a car??

Fall in love with moments..

Not really a quote, but, certainly something to think on...

Moments like when I took the photograph above.. snapshots of our lives

Today lunch with J., but first I parked down at El Zoco, first visited in 1989, it can't have been there long, talking to our neighbor from Calipso.. She remembers when her and her husband bought the apartment and there was no El Zoco.. just an olive grove there ..

I don't think it would have been there that long then... Thirty six years since I first visited there, for restaurant, for supermarket for the bars...

I did the tourists thing and took plenty of photographs, not many people about, and lots of places closed, or closed up.. Seems sad there..

I walked from the car towards Paco's bar, that I thought had closed, but saw it open, and then him coming out with coffees, and also in that moment is when I saw our neighbor, and she saw me! And shouted! Was wonderful! So good to see her.. Just like old times..

She was sat with a lady who used to own the Almond Tree with her husband... Before the Sullivan's were there... I knew the lady also, from work...

I'd popped into the office and saw the lady who works there, for the apartments.. It was her birthday!

Good to see her also..

Then!! Off to 'work' and we went for lunch, I tried not to pull forward too much, or faceup! So difficult not just do what I did...

Had a lovely lunch as always, time went too quickly.. I miss her...

More tomorrow..

La playa near the old apartment.. taken from the boardwalk... I have thousands of photographs of the ever changing beaches here... After each storm the coastline changes..

I am back in Alhaurín now, my friend brought me back up here from Calahonda this morning...

Leaving gray skies for blue, K. and I walked straight out and took our usual places at the Bar Cruz, two cafes and a croissant later, for me, and we walked down to a store then to my old neighbor G., down at his store for a quick catch-up.

Came home and napped! Sun still shining and rain forecast for this evening..

It is Peter's evening at the Artisenal gallery at the other end of town this evening, hoping for many of his friends to come and celebrate an evening in his name...
