Berkhamsted Through Time.. 

This link is to the book I came across Googling H.C.Ward.. 

There seems to be many arguments over the name of Berkhamsted.. the various old spellings, with a 'p' with an 'a'.. and whether it was Great Berkhampstead... Well, back in the 1800's it most certainly was all these things.

Was looking for something else, and came across my old measuring tape.. it belonged to my great grandmother.. born 1848.. Rosetta Talbot.. I have a couple of her samplers also.. made over a hundred years before I was born.. 

I know here I ride my emotions out, the good the bad ...the happy the sad.. 

Over the years.. decades nearly now.. my blogging has been my therapy..
