Went out for an hour and a half drive this evening.. beautifully warm, humid.. with blue skies and clouds building, colors of white and battleship gray..

In the distance I could see where the rain was falling.. In sheets straight down! Then we could see lightening flashes, forks directly down to the earth..

We missed the rain, followed it route; and along the verges steam was rising in the heat.  When we got back the streets here soaked and deep puddles everywhere..

A tree in the garden only just releasing the rain water.. and hundreds of bugs flying around in the humid air.. caught in the sunlight..

Now, as in the video, it's pouring.. stair rods of rain coming straight down.. lightening again..

And I'm wishing I could run out into the garden and get drenched in it!

Just heard this...

"Life is out of control for everyone, so every day should be so exciting because we have absolutely no idea of what may happen."

There's been a lot of rainy weather since I have been home over the last couple for weeks... 

My eye is still sore!! Better, but sore and I am thinking if it could be my VR? Did I have it on too tight and blocked something in my face!! Lol.. Our sinuses are behind our cheeks, all around our faces, so maybe that is it??

I've even managed quite a few walks up to the BP garage and back now; yesterday as I set off and the cloud came down over the Sierra de Mijas I changed my route and walked the way I used to walk, with the Pipster, so this was the first time I completely followed our route.. not a good idea.. but done now.

Meeting up with friends down on the coast later, so hoping this cloud lifts and lets me get down there safely, and back again! I don't like driving in the rain, especially not here, when it rains it rains! Land slides, rocks and crapola all over the roads, rain so heavy the wipers won't clear the path even on fastest swipe! Lol

Well, what haven't we done since last posting... We had Francos first phsio session, some good ideas to help with his back and shoulder pain, and also an appointment with the nurse from our local clinico, two full hours with him, amazing length of time, an interpreter on the phone too, the doctor wrote notes while we were answering his questions, so I know he does understand much of what we say, exactly as we understand much of what he says, but to make sure, and no mistakes... better to be safe.

He also made an appointment immediately for more x-rays, the date was for about two weeks time, but he got it changed and we had the x-rays two days ago already!  He called in the morning to say he had brought it forward and to collect paperwork from clinico and then go up to Coín to have them done, we did, and they were!

I can't think where we have been!! To Mijas Pueblo the other day, Monday it was... photographs below, not sure what had happened over the past weekend, there were these statues down in the new Plaza, miniature versions of Paris' Eiffel Tower, Londons Big Ben [St Stevens Tower] and Rio's Jesus the Redeemer...

We've been to Fuengirola, Miramar.... The Sunday car boot sale at La Trocha...

Christmas cards coming though the post, thank you.... I'm sorry only the boys and our grand daughter have cards this years, and my lateness in sending them, via Moonpig means they probably won't make it before Christmas at all!

We got one card yesterday, no, yes or the day before?  It had no envelope, Franco said maybe they delivered it by hand!  Although not sure if my cousin and his 102 year old dad popped over from UK to do so without knocking on the door!!!  The idea was nice!

My confusion is because I had a migraine yesterday, a bad one, it started int he middle of the night, been having a lot of nighttime headaches recently but they faded with the day, this one didn't.  And I got up in the hope, fed Pippa and had to get back to bed, I got up another time in search of the meds I shouldn't take to cure the pain, couldn't find the one I knew I still had left... that was I don't know what time, but I got up again early evening and found it, took it and went back to bed, so two hours later I more myself and got up, watched a movie with Franco which stated about ten pm and then went back to bed until six thirty this morning.  I am lucky, not had a bad one like this for such a long time now, maybe once this year before it? Franco and I can't remember, it used to be we couldn't remember a week when I hadn't had one!! Hate missing days.

Worse weather since 1989 Malaga Spain

Photographs of devastation from this morning on our journey down to the coast...  The main river we drive down from the mountain beside was full, at its worse it must have been close to the road in some places because by the golf courses at Las Lagunas dead wood and rubble has piled up near the barriers on the river side... large old trees brought down who knows how many miles...

At the garden centre and other businesses down near Aldi everyone was out hosing down the drives and parking and forecourts... Washing the streets helping the councilmen clean up...

One of the gold courses had lost its stone wall, its fences and the course was flooded out...

We didn't intend to go down today, but friends needed us to give them a hand and we did, all sorted soon we hope!

We also went for lunch at the now very famous La Cala BP restaurant, yes BP as in petrol station!  And very good it is too, they do rush about a bit though and you feel, well from where we were sitting that as they rushed past we rushed to eat... next time sitting at a table rather than a bar would be more beneficial!!

Very large plastic container in the cave is catching drips we have from a leak in there, its only the second time we have had water come in there, so that's not too bad really is it?  And water coming in the kitchen too from around the door frame, which is odd, never had that before, but also never had this much water coming into the little back patio either, hope it stops raining soon, the paintwork is bubbling a little and I don't want it getting damp...

When we got home from our trip water in the planters out on the front balcon was drowning the poor plants there and on the terrace, it had been raining for six days by then, and was about two inches deep or just overflowing in some of the pots! So I stuck a screwdriver down into the still tightly packed earth and the water drained in and then out the bottom of the planters... That is why our whole area here is flooding!!  So dry, so hard packed earth that none of this water can actually penetrate and soak in, its just surfing the top soil and causing floods!  So, yes, we need to get out there and stick sharp things into the ground to let the water in!! LOL, yes okay, crazy talk!

Bouquet for you all...

A gray and dismal day here today in mid Wales... The mouse man cometh later! Sounds ominous doesn't it! He better be humane is all I am saying!  I will have great pleasure in letting out little live mice into the garden, but refuse to empty any sort of archaic trap!

I forgot to tell you yesterday, when I... or did I?? LOL don't think so... Sorry, I am distracted by strange rumblings coming from outside, not sure what it is!  Sort of like thunder, but not... sounds slightly more man made!  It is raining, so could be thunder!  But then I did hear gun shot last night!  Just gone half past ten at night!  A huge blast from nearby, all the wildlife went very quiet, for a good five minutes, owls stopped hooting, sheep stopped bleating and cows stopped... mooing!!

Goodness knows who shot what, and why so late, in the dark??

So yesterday morning! When I returned to the porch with the empty bird feeders a robin was inside the room!  Poor little jumped, as did I, so I got out quick and he followed after a few hit and misses on windows!!  Cheeky little thing, bet he his eyes came out of stalks when he saw the open dustbin full to overflowing with birdy peanuts!  Just waiting for him to eat!!  He would never have got out of there alive!!

My Tesco is also delivering later, bringing me my chocolate fix, as well as all the weeks groceries of course! Still have this face pain thing, actually found a web site about it, and a small paragraph reads....

Atypical odontalgia is not caused by problems with the teeth or gums. Dental treatment or tooth removal will not stop the pain. As with many types of face pain, it is the pain signal mechanism that has become faulty.

Sounds like my Fibromyalgia doesn't it!
