saturday today and mercadona man, as usual bright and early this morning, and as usual i went to the store afterwards to get a few things that i forgot to put on the order! nothing to heavy at least, i must get one of those trolleys eh! mom did buy me one when we moved in here, but its well, not sure how to put it, its not exactly trendy and i am far far too young to be pulling that up the street! I am!

when we were last in ronda i saw some very fashionable trolley things, so i think next trip there i will buying one of those!

hey look what i found, that one up there.... ok thats sorted!

just remember youve seen the old one, remember the photo of the jamon sticking out the top at christmas?

anyway today... stopped for coffee with friends one way down in bar timon, then to supermarket and into to see friend in shop, long chat and hello's to everyone who came in, no buddy about, she and her husband must be up later, then on my way back same couple from earlier outside different bar so stopped again and had a tinto verano.... very nice in this warm weather...

we 'lost' our phone line this week, tuesday i think it was, so paid the bill on thursday morning(!) tried on wednesday, but of course, you may not pay your bills on a wednesday! but anyway we got back on line in the afternoon, amazing, some people say it can take days, and the internet came straight back too!

tuesday night when we were off to bed the water went.... nothing to do with us, this time! and i heard the cistern refilling around about one am, then i could still hear water.... i listened to it for ages, probably about an hour or more, franco slept through of course, eventually i went up onto the terrace and found franco had left the tap on up there! so we had a bit of a swimming pool on the roof, and i got soaking! of course it had sounded so loud because of the camera with mic that we have on now all night, checking out the back wall etc... it sounded like a waterfall!

i got kind of conned in the shop the other day, friend had to go out so i looked after the place for her for the morning and a woman came in with some books, friend takes books in and sell on, big market here for second hand books as they are so expensive here new, ten to fifteen euro for a paperback book.... anyway, this 'lady' says that the other lady gives a euro for a book... i said i know she gives 50c, so if she wanted to come back later that would be best, she said no she didnt want to, so i said ok i will give you 50c per book and then if the owner wants to she can!! give the rest next visit.... so ok!

then she comes back with husband who goes off about how expensive the books were and we sell them for more well yes 3.50€ rather than 2.50€.... so i said ok ok, give me your name so i can tell owner i have given 3€ of her money to you!

they left and the books.... one a year old but very very well read by who knows how many people, the second 7 years old and pretty rough, the 3rd and final book was an ex library book from ten years ago!

franco has started his blog again, so will get that sorted out on here for the link, he does not hold back on his views of things that go on around here, so remember that please!

well another week passed, lots of tourists in town now, recognisable by their lack of clothes... hello we're not on the beach folks! one woman today walked past bar rosa wearing one of those thin silky beach tops, kaftan design thingys, thigh length, over her nick-bini! would have been so bad i suppose if she had been under 60! OMgoodness what a sight, well she certainly stopped everyone mid conversation, never know that bar go so quiet.... sorry lady!

franco is doing some work at his sisters on sunday, so we will go down with him bright and very early, june now so cant take pippa on the beach which is a shame as her apartment is right there almost on it!

i am listening now all the time to this new station i found when i went to england, not sure if its on line, i will have to check it out, i think it must be as its one of those DAB channels(?) digital something or other.

its all old stuff, sort of 70's and 80's mostly, i need to break away from day time tv when i am home during the day, its like a drug, and one would think i could only watch the same 'inspecter morse' or 'midsummer murders' episode the once, but no seems i could keep on and on as long as they show them!

so effect in catching up with the 6 or so books i have waiting to be read, and of course, my leaning spanish...

ok gotta go, lasagne waiting to be popped into the oven...

I live neither in my past nor in my future.
I have only the present, and that is what matters.
If you can remain always in the prsent
then you will be a happy man.
Life will be a party, one long celebration,
because life is this moment we are living now

(above from the alchemist-cant believe this book came in today to the shop, i could never give mine away, i have bought it for lots of friends to give, but always kept mine, and the book today i gave to val to read)

just a quick note tonight...

kind of forgot about the full moon at the start of may, did it happen? on one calender i have it showed a full moon and another tonight... a blue moon in other words. we dont get many of them and for some reason i always keep an eye out for them as theyre so special.

well my spanish calaender shows a full moon begining of june and the second one at the end of june, instead of may... where is my blue moon? and did i miss it!

next door had a bit of a problem last night and wanted to see if we had had our camera on, well, it is now... the one that overlooks the back of our houses, seems something, well someone i think i should say got into where theyre dog lives and pulled out a heavy bag... uh oh... now i have written that i have spooked myself again, remembering that noise i heard yesterday when i was sitting on the terrace, then the thing that happened next door... (theyre dog didnt make a noise by the way!) and the full moon.... or nearly!

remember the warewolf of alhaurín..... da da da daaaaaaaaaa1

few photos from my trip back west!!! here is tony, it was a bank holiday and we were in london, this was before it started raining... although inbetween it was warm enough. this is near piccadilly and the trocadero centre, coffee and a cake for me, tony has very well turned his drip around.... no publicity please!

and above and below is where i had lunch a couple of times, here with janette above, and the view from inside out below, it is a morrocan restaurant, really lovely food and wonderful flavoured coffee's.

think the girl who took first photo thought i was a little crazy asking her to take a photo for me in there!

should have taken more of st albans, its such a beautiful city, the cathedral is wonderful, and i did spend lots of time wandering around the town, so next time more shots where tony is now living i think.

today sitting reading on the terrace, i hang a big sheet over the washing line, bit of privicy, i know its only local people that could see me, and of course being local the last thing they would be doing is sitting on their roof terraces in nearly 100degrees of heat... mad crazy foreigners, us i mean! man dogs and englishmen etc etc.... sorry gone off havent i... what i was saying was, me sitting there reading and on the other side of the sheet i heard a strange noise like a cat landing on four paws and a strange other noise, like a sound you would make landing kind of thing, i flew around the sheet and nothing there!?!

too much stephen king i hear you amigos, maybe so, the other evening i put out our rubbish, as we do late evening by the front door, and i had a bit of a shock the street was black, not just dark, the street lights were all out, i could see light coming over from the next street, but our narrow road from left to right was as black as a coal pit! it was like the light had been sucked out of it! i jumped back in and shut and locked the door quick, told franco how spooky it was... yes he laughed at me of course!

If only we could be enlightened enough
to be able to listen in the silence...

this is all en español! we have a new lap top, still have my old antique machine, but we are going to get everything from that onto this new little baby...

nothing really here yet, some of my favorites are here, but not the important ones... you know who you are amigos!

the fella that helped get it up and running showed me in a nano second how to move things from there to here, but well, how was it again please sir?

back from england last thursday, and cant believe how fast the time has flown since my return.

franco and pippa were well, a few pounds lighter maybe!

back to cudeca on monday, but am helping friend out in her shop this week coming so, am putting shop above on hold for a while if they dont mind that is!

golfing job, still ahead somewhere, have to wait another few weeks for the local club to decide if they want to try it out and then we can move forward on that.

holiday was great, so lovely to see everyone, now i miss everyone all over again of course, especially my boys...

ok more tomorrow, sorry so short...

Planes, Trains and Automobiles...

oh and trams coach and subway trains... too into the bargin.

these are the services i have used so far on my trip to england, not bad eh, its a bit late now, well gone 11 in england, so still feels like midnight to me on my body clock, tony has headed off to bed already has work in the morning, i cannot see this keyboard, dont need to for most things, but would be nice specially as its an english keyboard and now i am used to a spanish one some things are in different places, how silly!

oh and i'm so very tired now too, today tony and i went up to london, trains and subway, we went to a couple of museums, the science and the victoria and albert, we looked around a few of the shops in oxford street, and had some lunch, the weather was warm enough but was rain then sun then rain all over again, and so on and so forth! so wet then dried out just to get wet all over again...

we came home about 3pm and went out again to a local chinese for take out dinner... bit different from the chinese baz took me too in nottingham!

i arrived with barry thursday evening, he and a friend came to meet me at the airport, home and late to bed that night, friday he and i went into the city and met up with a couple of friends from where he works, a girl from thailand, and a girl from nigeria, we had lunch in a restaurant called frankie and bennys, not sure if thats spelt right, its a chain of restaurants, been gone so long i havent heard of them!

in the evening we went to barrys local chinese, bit scary it was too, some very suspect customers, a bit of a commotion going on with wrong delivery stuff too, and a girl got hit with something some kids were playing with... all in all i was glad to get back home with the food!

then saturday barry and i went into town with the lady he lodges with too, and we met up with another couple of work friends of his, and we ate in a vietnamese restaurant, really nice food, i had a soup... which was massive, layers of steak, and then the rest of the massive bowl was noodles, with the whole lot floating in a stock, with bit and pieces, and i very nearly finished it, i ate with chop sticks only, oh and a little spoon to help with the noodles and stock.

sunday morning and off to the bus station, leaving barry on his birthday... and travelling south, tony met me in milton keynes and we came home, via a local supermarket, dinner... my lasagne, of course, tony misses it....

ok too tired now, goodness knows if i am spelling anything right here at all, so apologies if its worse than normal amigos.

When two worlds collide...

this is how it feels here today in Alhaurín el rande, Día de la Cruz

on my way back from town walking streets strewn with rosemary plant.... tonnes of it thrown earlier from trucks, and rose petals, pink white and red.... the smell wonderful, i walked up the middle of the street making my way through as i would a forest with a floor rich in leaves...

the bands are still playing around the churches, they began at about 730-8am this morning, the rocket fire started just after 7 i think! will ask pippa.... she said yes it was too early and too loud and she does not like it one little bit!

and tonight i will arrive in nottingham, england...

when two worlds collide, what a difference from dawn to dusk eh mis amigos...

ok ok i hear y'all laughing at me here!

my friends and i went up to the lakes and then on to el chorro, (site of von ryans express movie), it had been a beautiful morning, a real scorcher, and so after work i changed into this little top, and off we went.... but on our way the weather changed, and into the storm we drove, so bad at one stage i didnt notice the police behind until we were leaving a 70 zone and going back to normal speed and i noticed him and my speed at the same time, just a tad over the limit, i at this point stropped breathing, swallowing and everything went into slow motion, then he came past and off he went.... i breathed again.... phew!

we had a good few days, we went to ronda on our wedding aniversary, wednesday, franco had a day off too yipeeeee! had lunch in that lovely restaurant that mom and i went into in december, the one with the beautiful arab courtyard, this time there was more people, lots more!

we had a good, long.... (phew) walk around the town, the new bridge only a couple of hundred years old, and of course the old bridge! the gardens, and the scary lookout that has a swear word for its name, so withheld here! we also went to a couple of places i had never been before! amazing after nearly 20 years of visits to still find new things, well new to us eh!

we stopped on the way back also to visit the man and his boy, remembe the photo of tony and i doing the same poise? and on the top of the summit was a bit of a party going on, some romanians were eating and drinking, they offered theyre fayre, but we declined having eaten already!

in the evening after a little nap.... we went off into town to have dinner, the first restaurant we went to was up the top of one the very steep streets in town, and at one point i went on alone.... to search out the food! well restaurant.... found it, but then changed our minds! so back down we went after everyone had made it up to check it out.... back to place us 'ladies that lunch' go every month or so, and we had a really lovely meal and good time to remember. talk about tired though, the walk home seemed to go on forever....

then... friday.... and they were off back up north and home, and in the one trip, no stop over this time, and made very good time, now next time, its us up there, by car next time not coach hopefully!

i am still preparing for my trip over to england, tomorrow is may day(workers day) and thursday is andalucia day, so both days everything is shut bar the bars!!

and wednesday i am needed to help out my friend a little longer as she has an errand to run.

oh.... the spring fair at finca la mota on saturday past, didnt do as good as last year at all, about a thousand euros less in fact, our stall did 77€ though on its own, we were doing the raffle, a raffle for a painting by a local artist, and a 'name the bear' raffle!

it was hot too, and this year i forgot all about the sun tan lotion and water, and food, that i brought with me last year, we had some shelter from a few trees, but as the sun moved round there was no shade, and it was all day after loading up from the store, and the same at the end of the day, home about 530 i think more or less.

thats it too much typing and hands burning, adios amigos...

oh no, another week come and gone!

well i emailed the job about the job, and yes it is still on track for when i get back from england.

that was on friday last week... also friday last week friend and i went down to miramar plarque and to iceland, not that i bought anything though... empty in there.... HA!

then we went into mijas and had a bit of a snack and coffee and walk around the beautiful gardens, taking in the air and the long awaited and beautiful sunshine... back where it is supposed to be!

we ended our little trip up there going into the little chapel of la peña and said a little prayer for everyone... including friends car which had more problems again.....

and when we got back to her place the car came back, and all fixed too!

pursuaded to get shopping myself and then delivered by bloke on saturday i went round mercadona with cart which mate helped push, but was so heavy to push that the headache i already had got worse and turned into a migrane so i took a tablet when i got home, mercadona man delivered later and i went to bed to let it get on with it and leave me alone! those tablets really are amazing.

sunday franco pippa and i went to la trocha market and then home, lots to do to prepare for friends arrival down south on monday!

i went into cudeca after a quick pop in to other shop i work in, then left early to await the call that friends were about to arrive, but then had to walk back into town to get key so i could open up 'other' shop today! was in there and helping out for an hour, then met friends, they had driven down from cumbre del sol north of benedorm, where i visited last year, leaving sunday, a stopover night on the way, and here early afternoon!

then later, we walked into town, third trip for me so after doing lasagne for dinner too i was totally exhausted!

today after my stint in shop the 3 of us went to mijas for a bit of lunch and walk around the gardens, of course! the toads in the ponds up there are so noisy... just like on friday when i was there then, what a racket they make calling to each other and fighting too i think.

now we're home, and i am tired, again, we're just relaxing now for the rest of the day...

no work tomorrow for me or franco we are all off to ronda for the day, our 3rd wedding aniversary... this time 3 years ago we were in las vegas... saw my brother too for the evening we arrived...

where have i been? been awhile, sorry...

no excuses either, just going into cudeca mondays and helping friend out in newsagents rest of week, no news on the job i had been told i have got... yes maybe thats it, seems i have been waiting till i heard back from him so i could tell you all news about when i start and where it is i will be working with my new bright job and shining contract of employment, bacause looking back it was 11 days ago i last wrote full of excitement and joy!

well no news is good news isnt it? or like i said to tony, maybe just no news is no news and thats it!

friend, neighbor and work mate is donating a huge bear for the spring fayre, and we got up the idea of making it a type of raffle, so its a ' name the bear' raffle, yesterday i did a graph thingy and today stuck english/spanish instructions all over and took it into cudeca today! felt like a school project, all the drawing of lines and writing etc etc, still if we sell all the boxes on it, a name in each one it will bring in 240€ for cudeca on our stall alone, never mind what ever else we are selling... of its for the fayre, oh yes said that! really dont seem to have a single brain cell in working order today! cant spell cant type, speak? oh yes, thats still working!

just spoken to oldest son on msn, he is having a bad day too.... cant wait to see him in two weeks, times like this when i feel i should be there for him and his brother are hard... and i feel helpless with what he needs just now ... so gather round please and i know you dont know him, but a little prayer for him please, a little word for barry just now mis amigos.... thank you...

put doctor on hold, so to speak for now, what with the trip to england, he wanted me to have another cortizone jab, but as they dont last long and one should only have two or three max, seems a bit pointless, i am still taking the anti inflamitories etc, and keeping the salsa and jive to a bear minimum! LOL just kidding!

hey maybe i will see another sponge bob square pants flying by overhead and hear about the job again.... what do you think!

oh saw on paulo coelho site that his latest book is out april 24th in Uk in english, so i will buy that when i am over, cant wait to read it!

a 'no' can change our whole existence.

Good Friday

and what a Good Friday it is!

i have got a job! yes! yes! ok and YES!

out of the blue really too, one i applied for last friday by email, had a reply from but then nothing more, so last night before we went out to watch the parade i thought, why not and emailed him again... whilst we were out i saw one of those childrens helium balloons pass over head and said to franco look at sponge bob square pants up there! might as well be a pink pig or elephant the chance i have of hearing about that job now!

got home and there was an email two missed calls on movil and the house phone! so i called him back and he said he wasnt sure what had gone wrong, and had put my name down for an interview (this morning)

he said he was giving second interviews for other people but offered me a job on the spot! i am taking a part time job, weekends only, although he said he would prefer me to work full time as he thinks i am so perfect for the job...

(woah.... thunder and lightening outside.... scary)

the job? its working at a golf club, not sure which one yet, with a golf club cleaning machine and offering, for a price, to clean the golfers equipment for them! should be good fun, and maybe i will change to the week instead, but for now will try the weekends out, so i can stay at cudeca and still help my friend out in her place!

in the bar, where we had the interview was an english comedian, mike reed! recognised his voice first then when he got up i knew it was difinately him! he look over at us!

we also have one of the status quo band members living in alhaurín el grande found out yesterday.

the weather today had been beautiful, at least down on the coast blue clear skys not a cloud in sight, but i came home, changed quickly and rushed down town to meet with friends and the clouds came over, now its real dark and stormy.

now to semana santa! easter week! wednesday evening there was a play at our church, the last supper, last night jesus was walked through the streets by herods men pulled by a rope and abused, his follows were with him, and several local bands played, guns were thrown into the air and caught... we watched for a couple of hours up at the end of our street, and thought it was all over, but they were just moving about town and came back to our street and our house it seemed about 2 in the morning! we knew when the 100 men carrying (i think) santa deloras was outside our bedroom window as they rang the bell, theyre bell, not ours!

tonight, now this is strange FMN reading your comment on how its going on there in italy, today we have the trial of jesus by herod, tomorrow ending at midnight the crucifiction, followed by sunday his resusitation as they call it here.

going to post this now, i think we might have a power cut now!

Happy Easter everyone...

and a big PS... Thank you one and all! i know you were all routing for me with regards to getting this job (any job!), and on Good Friday too eh!

three more, 13, 14 and 15 of china, number 15 is i think my very favorite of them all... although i am not sure, they are all so fantastic...

this one below is just so mystic and wonderous...

this is our easter card from my uncle richard, hope it works folks...

work this morning and afterwards went down to the coast, and missed seeing my old neighbor because it took me too long to get there! traffic at the la cala market caused all the problems, i have to remember not to use that road on a wednesday! instead i popped in to see franco at work and then had coffee with friends wife, then to miramar complex in fuengirola to have a quick look around, then home!

sunday we went down to gibraltor with friends, was ok, rained, but of course being gib, it nearly always rains down there, that little bit of england under a cloud at all times! got a few bits from the supermarket, hot cross buns, ummmmmm, ginger marmalada and a whole 12 cadburys cream eggs for me! for easter from franco, and i got his easter egg today!

monday at work was so busy! at last we changed over from winter to summer stock, oh denise are you reading this amiga? wish you had been there... not just to help but we had 7, yes 7 bags of baby clothes in, good as new! we could have been ooooing and arhhhhhing over every single one, we still go, oh look at this and that, tiny bits you would have wanted.... miss you mate!

anyway.... everything in the store looks better now, all bright and sunny, no more winter blues in there.... and we were open as well as moving things out into the store and money wise, was a great day, everything normal price, and people of course were still buying, and so pleased to see clothes they can wear now!

photos 10, 11 and 12 of china... all so wonderful, so serene and peaceful looking, good place to put ones mind when its too busy!

this i say as my sleepless nights are not getting better, cant believe this, FM always, i think, effects sleep, but as in waking up often and going back to sleep again just as quick, never a deep sleep always dreams dreams dreams..

and now i am waking up and just staying awake, was awake about 115 this morning and i heard the clock strike 3 before i back to sleep, i got up at some point and made a milky honey drink which helped, but that was after ages of just staring up at the ceiling fan! some people say its not good to get up if you cant sleep because then the body thinks thats whats got to happen every night, so i dont know. so in all that time i lay there thinking of 'blog' stuff, and what the doc said last night, i might as well have come down and done it!

last night had an hours wait to see him, he was running very late! i had an ultra sound scan of my innards!!! liver kidneys etc, all ok, i have a calcium deposit somewhere i shouldnt! so not sure what will happen with that or why its there! maybe on a fibroid or node? but it wasnt there 3 years ago and has grown half a centremetre, so?

he gave me a cortisone injection, steriod shot to help with the inflamation, you can only have two or three, and he told me to take it easy over the next 24 hours, not sure if its made any difference yet though. and its back again tuesday evening!

while i trying to get to sleep last night all that was going on in my head, and its such a horrid time, a car drove past and i thought how horrible to be out then, and had some sort of flash back to when i would be driving home at that time, wishing i was already home, or had never even gone out! all alone in my car, was a horrible feeling, if only we could be more aware that one day everything will be alright. maybe not early on, or even half way through, but one day, all will be right with us. i wasted so much time worrying and lonely.

our life here in spain is certainly tough at times, but i am happy where it counts, inside in my heart and soul... see insomnia is getting me all philisophical now... believe me this would have been worse if i come on here in the middle of the night mis amigos!

and you know i am not drinking any more than one or two coffees at the most now... when i was on ten cups a day, no problems sleeping! T E R R I F I C!

God is always the same,
even though he may have a thousand names,
but you need to choose a name to call him by.

this was a spectacular sky show on the way out one evening a couple of weeks ago, late posting it and just remembered i took the photo when we were driving over to la trocha.

work on monday... i didnt leave! the girls revolted! or were they just revolting!!! so i couldnt have them all leave, so i am staying for now and just not standing for too long or doing anything to akward lifting etc.

someone brought some stuff in, driving up the street parked out side and we brought it in, which is good in that we want things to sell of course all the time, the more new stock for us the better for us to sell on... but she left with us a childs buggy, one of those push chairs with a big wheel and two at the back, and a travelling cot. the first was just completly broken, the brake cable wire was torn and loose, the step for another toddler was hanging off, it wouldnt even open up anyway?! and the latter, the cot, only one side stayed locked once it had been clicked into place, the other three all folding back down into the cot!? yes great for a little baby in there! and so we had to carry the two very heavy items down and then lift into a bin in the high street... i have to ask why would someone bring two very dangerous items in to us? how much trouble we would be in if we sold things like this!

anyway i am putting off the first thing i should be saying and that is we took the results of the blood test down to the doctor monday evening and he said i do have osteoarthritis. so there we are. i am having more tests on friday on my liver etc, and am taking strong anti inflamatories twice a day, and an anti ulcer tablet once a day, to combat the effects of the inflamatories!

now i will have to see what not to eat and what might help, we eat so healthily already but have checked out a few sights surfing on here and see white rice, white bread and i cant believe this white pasta! should all be avoided1 how much pasta do i eat? tonnes! no really! although i always cook more than we eat, always have done, we could have a pasta mountain by now!

just one more thing before i go... its hard to tell what with the 'normal' pains i have with the FM, but i am sure that every single day the hip pain is getting worse, just lifting the washing from the washing machine, sitting, standing, driving, walking. i hope these tablets kick in soon.

we went to trocha market this morning, little bit empty, i think lots of the stall holders had forgotten to put their clocks forward!

thursday i at last visited a doctor! i phoned up thursday evening about 5pm, he only works monday to friday 430 to 9pm i think, anyway, got appointed for next day, arrived early by ten minutes but went in five minutes early too! was with him for 55 minutes! cost - 30€. he examined my joints and did all the usual doctor type things with blood pressure, low as usual, etc etc, he wrote out a prescription type thing for me to take to the local blood place!

this opens early and first thing friday morning i went to the place, i arrived five to nine, went straight into the chair and was out in five minutes, he told me the results would be ready about 430 that evening, now i left it to saturday morning but the farmacia was shut, so will collect tomorrow morning on my way into cudeca.

the comparason in england... when phoning to make the appointment i would have to wait about 2 weeks to see my own doctor, or a couple of days at least for another at same surgery. he would say to book an appointment with a nurse for the blood tests in the same surgery, but it would be a few days to a week for than, then another 7 to 10 days for the result... but for free, and i am not sure how much i have to pay tomorrow so will let you know!

tomorrow i am also, wait for this, going to leave cudeca! at the moment i am just not up to standing for over 4 hours, lifting and carrying and sorting through clothes, all the bending and stretching, i am now in so much pain through the night it is keeping me awake.... so its just helping my friend out three mornings a week for a couple of hours.

i am also concerned with what the doctor said, it could be arthritis, or sciatica, or 'just' my fibromyalgia, moved into my hips, a bit he showed me on a picture of the skeleton i cant explain.

he said if its the latter then i can try the nerve ending dulling drugs i tried before, so zombie time here we go again... if its something else well we can go from the results i suppose, but we dont have any health cover here, the contract i had doing the promotions job is only valid for during the job and becomes worthless the day the job finishes.

already he says i will have an ultrasound scan, well the last one i had here cost 90€ and of course each of his visits is about 20 or 30€ by the look of things, he also wants to send me for an xray, about 50€ i think... so! hey!

ok, now i have completly shot myself in the foot by talking about this out loud and getting myself fed up, when i shouldnt have, so i am going up onto the terrace for some sunshine, which i beleive is still free???

hah this quote is great for me today eh!

yesterday morning i had an email from a cousin in new york, another of my cousins who passed on a while ago now, i never got to meet him at all sad to say, but now his wife has passed on, leaving a daughter and son and grandchildren... my thoughts are with them all, and i am so glad i got to see cathy one more time 18 months ago when mom and i went to my cousins wedding in new york.

my step mom, in california is also going through troubled times and its times like these that i wish so much i was nearer, or that it was just easier to 'be there...'

again harping on about jobs, sorry, but just a simple matter of having at least got one, all legal with a contract etc, would mean money in the bank for being where we want to be when we want to be there for others, and also of course, doctors for us too... if and when we might need one.

yet another women came into the shop today and mentioned her new job down at the place i applied at, and still they want people to work there!?! what shall i do? shall i phone, all afternoon since making the decision to phone i have been trying to find the number, for some reason its not in the phone books yet, or on any advertisments, or their web site even! i could go into the shop i suppose and just ask about my interview? or are all these blocks meant to mean its just not for me, signs i should be listening too? sometimes its like we're travelling in a maze, and at nearly every turn is a dead end and we have turn and turn again, not sure where to go next!

There is always a right moment to stop something.
(hmmmmm good quote for today eh!)

San Jose - Fathers Day

spectacular... surreal is'nt this one above...

and the blue here in the water a reflection of the sky above and makes each small stream a wonder...

i wish i had sound with these photos... what noise would we hear here i wonder... a tinkle of small bells, the gurgle of the water and bird noises...

gosh!

today! most towns seem to have had a day off, but alhaurín el grande was all open and so was our shop, well for the most part, our supervisor turned up and was not happy about something that had changed on the saturday, so first of all we locked all the customers in... and we had lots of them, then we locked them all out! sounds a bit funny, but it wasnt at the time, we felt bad about it, and it was very confusing to the customers, especially as the start of the day we were selling a whole bag of clothes, which means as many as some people could squash into one, for only 50cents! yes you read that right, 50c! and then during and after the shut down, back up to the 2€ we had been down to last monday! trouble is its all winter clothes and by now we have usually got all the spring and summerwear out, no one wants warm wollies now! 25 degrees in the shade today and we have sweaters and cordory jeans for sale!

oh denise if your reading this... wish you had been there to see it all, you would have laughed along with us over it all, (afterwards) how is ireland? have you settled back there yet? how is the baby coming along?? we still keep ooooing and arhhhing over little pink outfits for you, as if you were still here in alhaurín...

In all the languages in the world,
there is the same proverb,
'What the eyes don't see, the heart doesn't grieve over.'
Well I say that there isn't an ounce of truth in it.
The further off they are, the closer to the heart
are all those feelings that we try to repress and forget.

Mothers Day

the photo above from the 'china' collection... what a spiritual place, just looking at this photo opens your heart and soul...

perfectly stunning...

gods green land....

i am going to run out of descriptive words pretty quickly am i not! i shall have to learn a few more, or really just dig them out of my mind, i know all that english lit i did in school is in there someplace, hidden in dusty corners of my brain... oops wrote brian then! so maybe 'brain was being too hopefull, just in my head shall we say then?

mothers day in england today, but lots going on in the vera cruz church behind us, wish you could hear the band playing, lots of people and cars, had trouble getting ours out due to double parking up there! on our way to la trocha market this morning, left pippa at home because of all the noise up there, they have been sending up rockets since about 8am and she is a quivering wreck now, my poor little baby...

after market went up to garden centre and picked out a nice climber plant, a Wisteria, shall put a photo on here soon of what it is supposed to look like, and then a photo of ours! pippa has dug up two other plants in the site its now in, but we have put up a high wooden fence around it this time!

at the garden centre we met friends, welsh, like franco! and talked about wales winning yesterday against england in the rugby! italy did good too, ¡bene fatto!

came home and rang our moms... i returned tony's call to me from earlier when we were out, he was more awake this time, my baby, wish both my boys were here with us today... and i know i know they are not babies any more, but we are always babies to our moms, i have been told!

franco got up in the middle of the night to watch the grand prix, but our signal was zero! so couldnt watch it, thank goodness its back now so he can watch the re-run this afternoon... i on the other hand know who won cos i asked a friend!

and apart from the telly we also are having the usual problems with the old boiler.... no not me! the water boiler! dont sure if its low pressure or lime scale, but its hot one minute and then freezing the next, ok when your washing up, but not such fun under the shower...... brrrrrrrrrrr!

adios amigos!

Do not struggle against your thoughts,
they are stronger than you are.

China

no i havent been to china! but friends sent me a load of photos and i am going to include them on here, they are too good not to share with y'all. absolutly beautiful...

stunning......

this morning we went down to the overseas shop at miramar parque.... me and friends husband had a coffee while she went in to buy a few bits of english food. i wouldnt go, no job, no purchases! i just wish i knew what was wrong with me for their job! and they still want staff??? i suppose i have the real hump with it dont i! i think this is the only job i have gone for and not got, which doesnt help, knocked my self thingy back hasnt it, put me in my place eh!

the thing thats annoyed me most is that they didnt even have the common decency to phone me to tell me i hadnt got a job! yesterday i did find their web address and wrote to the head office complaining of not getting a call, that i knew the shop had opened and that i was not getting it, but that it would be good to be told so! and why! the only thing about the interview that was odd was right at the end as we were leaving his office and he said to me ¨are you sure you dont mind working on a till?¨now that is a strange thing to say to someone applying to work in a supermarket dont you think!

The second indication of the death of our dreams is certainty.

thursday again? impossible!

friday last week i went into malaga with friend from shop to another warehouse to buy some more goodies for her shop, it was the place where the 'bizarre' shops fill up from too, there was so much stuff, it was like a shop of sparkly shiney 'come and get me' goodies, our little chinese shop down the road X'd by 100! shelf upon shelf of things you dont really need, but look so much like things you do!

sunday franco pippa and i went to trocha market, good to see so many of our friends there, my every day coffee mate was even there with her husband, first time thy had gone.

weather has been good enough, bit cooler in the shade the last few days, sunday the market was freezing, well felt like it to me, bit of a breeze blowing through the car park its held in, probably was 20 degrees in the sun, but felt chilly inside!

yesterday i opened up the shop, got the computers all up and running switched on everything else and got the papers all out etc! ran the phone credit machine out of credit on the first customer! and then a lady wanted me to photocopy a print she had, blow it up to A3 fromA4 which i hadnt done and managed to do it! that machine frightens the life outta me, give me a computer any day rather than that photocopier machine with all those buttons and stuff!

tomorrow we're going down to the miramar parque, my friends want to shop in the new iceland store, the one i went for the job at and neve even had the decent call back from! humph! i'm going down with them so they can get some driving experience in and find the place, but thats it, i'll go have a coffee next door!

two trips to the post office yesterday to pick up the mail box mail for shop, first time i missed a delivery note and had to go back, after a first conversation where i made them laugh me saying en español it would take a hundred years to speak spanish, i then said 'no lo veo' (i dont see it) which of course wouldnt make sence would it, as i needed to use past tense, so she taught me the right thing to say 'no lo ve' i didnt see it!

had bad headache yesterday, took a strong ish tablet that didnt work in the morning, then a real bad guy tablet later, which took an hour to work... and then it was gone, the headache i mean! and it works that suddenly, aparently works on the blood flow at the back of the neck? and i was laying down in the dark, and suddenly... pain gone! got up and carried on with the day! the tablets are nearly 18€ for four, but worth every cent.

i also phoned another doctor in the afternoon, but didnt get any further than a receptionist i think, he wasnt there, i will try again, just sitting her these few minutes is agony! oh well keep smiling!

weird dream last night, part of it i was jumping on the spot, yes i know very strange, but the strange bit was, was that whilst up in the air i kind of hovered! so every jump i stayed in the air longer and longer, it felt so good just floating there... very very odd, i know what your thinking, it must have been those stronge tablets, and yes maybe your right......

There is no need to climb a mountain
in order to know that it is high

Blue Bells

these two photos are amongst my favorite i have taken, because i love blue bells, they are so glorious... these were taken in england, of course! i think in 2002, in ashridge forest, just up the road from where we used to live... at every turn they were picture perfect i think, millions of them... wonderful...

theyre out april/may, i think! used to seeing them there every year, now i havent seen them at all for nearly 5 years and cant be certain! maybe they will still be out when i am over early may, hope so.

it will be too late for the poppys that may be out now(?) they are out here, but we dont live where we can see fields of them.... when mom and i were doing a tour of italy we came across fields of sun flowers, fantastic, i will look for any photos of got of those, if i did, took six rolls of film and the tour was so much in so little time if it wasnt for the nearly two hundred photos we wouldnt remember what we saw in what order!

helluva wind last night here, the persianas were rattling at the windows and anything that wasnt fixed down was flying about the streets! i was amazed at some washing i had hand washed last night, put it out dripping wet at about 10pm and was bone dry by 7 this morning, one thing was a long heavy knitted coat thing that needed a final wash before putting away for the summer, and even that was dry, just them still being there was amazing though considering!

i am going to put a web link over there... beneath 'dads site' its a web cam down on the coast in torremolinas, i think its near to one of the estancos i was working in last year, and i will be checking it out soon, and if it is i'll let you know, i will enjoy waving like a crazy women at it in the hope that someone somewhere is laughing back at me!

not much going on really just now.... well life is of course! work as usual in my two little spots! walking pippa every morning in the light now even! at just gone 7am, so having to make sure i look almost presentlable to leave the house, my hair is usually the bed head look during the day, but first thing! oh my goodness, so have to watch out for that now, dont want to scare the other early morning risers do i!

and not even a coat now, just a sweater and that bring me out in a 'sweat' if we go to fast!

i have given up trying to do without, but the healthy tablets my mom got me and that were helping out, are just not doing it for me any more, so i am back to taking pain killers big time, two every four hours to the max allowed.

was chatting to another dog walker monday morning and she knows of an english doctor in the next town and is going to get the numer for me, i know i am always against english things here, but i think on this one occasion i might give in. the local farmacy gave me the address of another doctor a couple of weeks ago as my time, and money is up, with the last one nearly, and not someone i want to go back to as i might as well of just thrown the money into the air, or at the least given it to someone who actually needed it (apart from us that is!)

and what with this and that and the other i hadnt got round to paying him a visit, and now i have heard of this new chap i'm glad i didnt, but i really do need to see someone about the pain in my hips, its ridiculous, although i guess i should be used to the fibromyalgia pain this is so much worse and makes all the previous stuff fade into nothingness.

ok nuff of that!

tomorrow i must post our mothers day cards off to wales and england for our moms, its a week on sunday, different day here in spain. strangely enough in england mothers day is nine months after father has had his day! what do you think of that!?! strange conection there do you think :-)

here are a couple of interesting photograhes taken from the window at work at Cudeca, amazing how close to our window the new building is, isnt it! i man how on earth could the building plans have allowed this new library to be built right up to the windows in our building? ok we're 'just' a shop, and have no real need as such for this window, but there are peoples balcons up above, people who live and well, would also like to breath up there on them! with this right up close and very much personal!

the orange? i dont know i guess one of the builders thought we would appreciate it! who knows!

anyway.... we now have 12 hours of daylight again! yipeeeee! walking pip at 730 its light and at 730 in the evening the sun is just setting over the sierras, beautiful... i heard my first of this years cicadas singing in the evening the other day, and also same eveing i saw one of those awful processionary caterpillars! only one and i nearly did something really daft... tread on it! and then i would have spread it all over the street making the chance of a dog or cat get a taste and being very very ill, or dying, and i am quite sure pippa would have licked it too at home!

this morning we, friend and her husband, went to coín to sort out his social security paperwork, so he can see the local doctor etc as a pensioner. we just went into the town and parked, had a walk around, asked a few people, got back in the car and drove to where its moved to now! which is really easy, the instructions for it should read, take a left by Dìa supermarket and there it is! even more strange no one was waiting in the beautiful new building and they went straight up, sat down, and did what they had to do!

into lidl on the way past and home!

(read up on the terraza again today, in the sun - sorry it has to be done!)

St Davids day

here is the letter to read from yesterday

The "Letter" in part:

"You are to know that those many, many times that you struggled through the
tears of pain and confusion were the times that the Angels from the very
highest realms sat by your side on your living room couch. For you came
back here to this very negative dimension to conquer all self-doubt, and
you were determined to blossom into the bright God-Light/Self that you are.
The Hierarchy of Heaven stands in awe of you.

The trail that you blaze is a yellow brick road, paved in the gold that
shimmers with Heavens Light. And when the people of the Earth look back on
their release from the chains of negativity and fear, they will feel your
passion and know that the tears you once shed so long ago, have watered and
fertilized the seeds of hope that blossomed into Love's most divine Eden."

Dearest hearts, remember who you are, especially when you feel like you are
being 'whacked' around. Know that you are always being watched over, walked
next to and held in the arms of grace even when it seems otherwise. You are
heroes, living in a transition stage and by your very presence upon this
earth you are bringing a species and a planet back into Light. The entirety
of Heaven honors you.

We have taken on the most monumental of tasks and the pain is a result of
the dying off of the old complex human nature. My friend Jean Houston said
it this way "we are the parenthesis closing the end of an era so another
can begin." Bless our hearts!

We have been blessed to stand on the shoulders of many great ones that came
before us. Believe this, many here now, and those to come will stand on
ours. That very truth is humbling while motivating at the same time. For
me, it reminds me of my responsibility to be the best me I can be, to
compare myself to no other and "to live UP to the Light I have."

We, you and I, are complex in our natures, however if we remain in our
hearts and not our minds, our complexities will simplify immeasurably. Let
everything out of your grip, wipe the sweat from your palms and open wide
to the infinite possibilities that live and breathe and have their very
existence within you. Live UP to your precious selves in spite of the often
not so graceful circumstances.

Dia de Andalucía

today is andalucía day, a day to celebrate andalucia of course! a huge area covering 17.2% of spain, thats 87,268 km sq.

not sure whats going on around town today, franco is up on the terraza building a wall to keep the plants in and pippa out! last week he built the surrounding walls up with some decorative bricks, looks good, but needs some climbing plants to give a bit of color there.

although its been getting warmer now the last couple of weeks outside, its now warmer indoors to at last! its only early and the sun isnt on our house at all yet, but all the windows are open and i'm just nice in a tshirt and jeans thank you very much!

yesterday nearly everyone noticed how it just felt that little bit different, like summer is here, subtle, some strange change in the humidity or something, not sure, but we were all talking about it, it was 25 in the shade on the roof, and i visited with dawn and her friend who are out here for holidays staying at marias down on the coast, there was me in my black trousers and tops, and them in nik beanies! (thats bikini to most people!) i had come straight from work and looked like it!

got an email this morning a part of which i think most of you will enjoy reading hope this works! oh cant find a bit to do what i want to do, looks like i will have to type out the whole thing!

nope cant copy and paste, will try and work it out later...

meanwhile, i must up load some photos i took at work the other week, and i have booked a trip to england for may, cant wait to see sarah and darrens little baby callum... which i could just hyper beam myself up and over there to see them! i suppose i would be doing that to see everyone, just once a month would be good, and then of course all my far far away family over in the states! my brother, my step mom, all my cousins... oh my goodness!

We love many things,
simply out of fear of losing them....

where is the time going? cant believe its friday again already! weather has been unsettled this week, some sun, and when its out its baking, then it clouds over and a few drops of rain, then back to sunshine! this has been the norm all week.

cudeca on monday was a quiet day too, we all missed denise and kept expecting her to be there somewhere in the shop... hope she arrived back in ireland by now! and is settling in, must seem very strange, i cant imagine going back to england now, i really cant.

at work i was round the back of the shop and another of us was sort of down on the floor looking through something and we were talking, there was a tall steamer thing nearby, its mainly on the floor with a tall metal bit with a hook for the clothes and when not in use the steamer head rests in the hook... still with me on this? anyway, we were talking and when she got up she continued to talk to me, but was looking at the steamer, just for the second it took for her to realise the thing standing behind her was just that, the steamer, and that i was a bit further away!

i guess you had to of been there, but it was so funny we were in stitches! and who says inanimate objects dont talk back!

my three days in the other shop were all quite busy, i know i know, its only two hours! but lots more local people are coming in which is really good, helps learning spanish and of course good for sales, we have lots of spanish magazines now and so when they come in for fax or phone credit etc etc and see them hopefully they will come back for more.

today i popped in to get the friday free paper to hunt down a job, nothing in it all this week, well not for me, all telesales (holidays or realestate!) or realestate work, a few others i could have done if i had perfect written and spoken español!

walked along the street saw another friend and joined her for coffee and my mate arrived about half hour later, we were there over an hour and then after a turn about town i came home!

have a whole load of things that i really need to do, paperwork and such, writing and contacting people but i put stuff off like that for ages, last night i put it all on the dining table to begin today, but after just one set back have decided to leave till monday!

not really in the mood have a bit of a headache, my own fault, for some unknown reason i decided not to take my anti inflamitorory tablets??? wednesday and thursday? doh! so yesterday i found that i really should have and was in terrible pain with just about every bone in my body! so took far too many pain killers yesterday and went back to my tablets today, so not sure what that was all about!

Is it feast or famine?

well is it? am not expecting to hear from freezer store now, but after posting yesterday read my emails and had an offer of a promotion down on the coast again, may and june, a full eight weeks, i responded without thinking that yes i was interested.... then forwarded on a beautiful email i got from friends, only silly bit at the bottom about passing it on and that long awaited call thing at 11am, you know that silly thing!

well off i trotted into town and only just off our street and at just before 11 my mobile phone rang and there is a friend from a couple of years ago i used to work for on the golf courses! i had enquired about an ad and she was calling me back to say vacancy filled now, but would keep me in mind if and when it got busier on the courses!

and then i had time to think about the promo job, could i really and truly deal with that again, 2 hours driving a day, out at 830am back home gone 9pm, and over 8 hours just standing, not really moving about much? i dont think i can, sitting maybe and standing and moving about, yes, but just standing, for eight whole weeks, i really dont think i can, and when i got back had email waiting saying great! do you know anyone who will do the other area, pick which one i want and give to a friend the other! well sounds to me they dont have anyone else who wants to do such a long day either if she is suggesting this eh! only its a contract...... but phisically i cant do it, and now i have to email back and tell her.

.... and to town, got to friends shop and she was on her way out and invited me to go with her, so i had a trip out to a couple of warehouses in malaga! buying stationary and bags etc, was good fun! always have been a bit of a stationary freak! and so much of it, good thing i wasnt buying, all those little unwanted bits and pieces!

got back to the shop about 230, and then my other buddy was out with her husband and caught me out of the house this late in the afternoon and we had coffee, was about 430 by the time i got home!

now this is all.... have franco's cold and my head is aching along with all the symptoms, although the week i have had regarding the job and the job and the job, but not a job! no wonder my brain hurts!

The first indication that we are killing our dreams is lack of time.

you know i realised after i left yesterday morning that when i came on here to write my post i had every intention of disrepecting the company who was so rude not to let me know about the job, but just getting it out of my system did the trick... well mostly!

and i dont tell everyone about going for jobs, it gets a bit boring, most people i know who are job hunting just dont mention it anymore seeing as the 'proper' jobs are so few and far between with 100's of people going for each one.

its something you dont think about moving here, the jobs in the papers week after week are at least 99% realestate or telesales (for realestate or timeshare, ooops sorry holiday share now i mean!!!)

yesterday after work us girls from monday (cudeca), well most of us, met up to say good bye and good luck to denise who is off back to ireland with her husband and son... we are going to miss her so much... and her husband came and wisked her off far too soon and we were left bereft...

and i told my friend as i said i would on here yesterday, about leaving and not wanting to muck her about as i have been and she said no that i am to stay, and apply for jobs and go for interviews and only leave when i have another job to go to... a good friend indeed i think!

bit early to blog my eyes havent come into focus yet, so sorry for even more typos today! but if i dont get this off my chest before i go out i may explode and make a rather awful mess!

the job ..... yes its about a job! but the job i mentioned briefly the other day, i had originally applied for it last november, and like many others, didnt even get an aknowledgement, so forgot all about it, then the other week got a call telling me only now were they going ahead with the interviews, had interview, was ok, new large supermarket taking on about 30 new staff, out of goodness knows how many applicants i suppose. was told i would hear within 24 hours... 48 hours later i got a call saying i would hear next wednesday, a week later, (that was yesterday by the way!) and obsurdly enough the day before the shop opens! yes great planning, no training and all those new staff not knowing a thing!
on saturday i was at my friends shop and a lady came in talking about her 16 year old daughter and her boyfriend who had got jobs down at the new english food supermarket down at miramar... well that was a shocker, for one, i had to wait till thursday to be told.. i now presumed that i hadnt got the job, and two, she was telling my friend who i help out three mornings a week! the very same friend who i had told about the job and that i might be leaving, because after all, it was a full contract, proper job that would give us health cover, the sort i need.

she, my friend, had told me she had had to ask around for someone to cover me, if i left, she needs someone to help so outside things can get done, as she cant leave the shop to do them now she in running it by her self, which is of course fair enough.

so all week wait wait wait, and yesterday i called her about 5pm to say i hadnt heard, i mean after all how could they call and then me start today! the following day? giving her no notice at all really, just a maybe not sure type of thing!

she told me one of the girls who was more than willing to help her out is going to do mondays now anyway, i am at cudeca then...

so today, this morning i am going to do the only fair thing i can and that is, go in, do this morning, but tell her to give my helping hand hours to the other girl. these people can muck me and other people about, but i cant leave my friends hanging like this, not knowing if i am staying or going, and of course, if another job comes along i will have to take it, so its only right.

well thank you friends for letting me share with you, your broad shoulders have helped as always... have a good day yourselves and i will catch up later, still have lots to tell about last fridays trip to malaga and the office that is traffico!

Tony's photos from today in england

is this mom dad and the two kiddies? do they allow underage drinking in this establishment?

these first two pics are from the pub tony went to at lunch time today! the landlords customers look frozen waiting outside for him to open up eh! and the one with the traffic cone... well not sure what he has been up to!

these two are taken in the grounds of where tony works! beautifull...

beautiful in the snow... very mystical and haunting, bet its lovely in the sunshine too! the snowmen here... these were made during a moment of truancy i guess!

more rain...

today started out nice enough and now its pouring down cats and dogs! what a great shot i 'borrowed' from here in cyber space!

glad i got back from town before that lot came a tumbling down, my brolly just isnt that strong! no wonder the satelite signal is coming and going on the tv! our street is turning into a stream, or en español un arroyo! like the town down near the coast arroyo de miel... stream of honey... isnt that lovely!

but... nothing as bad as all that snow in the UK eh, and the states... how cold! my friends who live around the corner are off to kentucky today... not sure if theyre via england with all those closed airports, or madrid, but they are via chicago which is having it bad before their final destination... bien viaje folks!

now before i forget here is a little link to make sure your BMI is good (body mass index!)

getting back to the snow it looks so nice... from here..... no really, would be nice to just be there and run around in it and build a snowman and throw some snow balls with my boys... not sure how they would appreciate that, then come back home, to this rain! well for today, going to be on its way up temperature wise over the next few days, about 19 'they' say, will let you know, its not cold today, but so damp.

did i tell you i had applied for another job? this week? if i ever get a job, i mean one that isnt volunteer or helping a mate! or another one off promotion thats there and then gone, well i'll take us all out for a celebration drink! LOL

better get off this now in case the electric goes and i lose all of this eh!

being paralyzed by fear is not.

February!

where have i been!? i havent blogged since last monday!

last week seems so far away now! nothing much i guess could have happened, last week helped my friend out in her shop for three days, the time flys when i'm there, rushing from place to place for her, and its only two hours and then.... i'm outta there!

saturday franco went to wales and came home again on sunday! so that was good, hate it when he's not here, i do understand he has to go to work, but other than that we just like to be home together..... you can tell its valentines soon eh... hope you all have your cards ready? some poor bloke in the shop today we wouldnt let out till he had bought his wife her card!

back to weekend though, trip on saturday to malaga airport was awful, pippa came too, the weather was terrible really hard rain, which let off as we approached churriana, 2 mintues from the airport, we dropped off franco at departures and went straight off home, the rain was even worse on the way back, and pitch dark, no white lines or cats eyes here like back in england! couldnt wait to get home, pippa was leaning up to me as far as she could with her seat belt on in the back.

sunday no rain, although it was dark again, but much better and as i was going into the terminal i didnt take pippa although lots of people do, not sure how she would have liked it in there!

monday cudeca, was a good day considering how quiet it is, one of our gals is leaving, next monday is her last day! she is off back to ireland, they have a little boy and another babe on the way and after recently visiting 'home' she feels thats where her heart is now, so theyre off! just like that, in just over a week i think! cant believe it! so then there will be five!

i know i have other things to say, i should make notes or something, my memory is getting so bad! not only is my spelling getting worse (impossible i hear you shout!) but i am even saying things wrong! how weird is that!

so...

A blessing rejected becomes a curse...
